Holcombe Rucker Park

Holcombe Rucker Park is a 3.13-acre park in Harlem at West 155th Street between Eighth Avenue and the Harlem River Drive, world-famous for its outdoor basketball courts, which have served as the proving ground for generations of basketball talent from the streets of New York to the NBA.

The park is named for Holcombe Rucker, a New York City Parks Department employee and playground director who organized basketball tournaments in Harlem beginning in the 1940s.
