Revere

The Revere at 400 East 54th Street is a Privately Owned Public Space near the Sutton Place enclave in Midtown East, providing outdoor seating at a named residential building between First Avenue and the FDR Drive.

Named for Paul Revere, the American Revolution patriot famous for his midnight ride, the building reflects the tradition of naming New York apartment buildings after historical figures and places to convey prestige.

The blocks between First Avenue and the East River in the 50s are near the Sutton Place residential enclave, one of the most exclusive addresses in Manhattan. The proximity to the river provides some apartments with water views.
