Clearview Park is a 78-acre park and golf course in the Bayside section of northeastern Queens. The park is home to the Clearview Park Golf Course, one of several public golf courses in the NYC Parks system and one of the few affordable golfing options in the metropolitan area.
The 18-hole golf course occupies the majority of the park's acreage, providing a full-length public course with views of the Little Neck Bay and Long Island Sound. The course draws golfers from across the borough and beyond, offering a quality golfing experience at public rates in a city where private club memberships are prohibitively expensive.
Beyond the golf course, the park includes athletic fields, walking paths, and natural areas. The park's eastern edge borders Little Neck Bay, providing waterfront access and views across the bay to the North Shore of Long Island.
Bayside is one of the most suburban neighborhoods in Queens, with single-family homes, good schools, and a residential character that attracts families seeking space and quiet within the city. The park complements this suburban character by providing the kind of large-scale green space more commonly associated with communities outside the city.
Clearview Park serves the recreational needs of northeastern Queens with a scale of green space and athletic facility that is rare in the urban context, reflecting the lower density and more spacious character of this part of the borough.
