Crocheron Park

Crocheron Park is a 45-acre park in the Bayside section of northeastern Queens, stretching from 35th Avenue and the Cross Island Parkway to the shores of Little Neck Bay. The park is named for the Crocheron family, early settlers who farmed the area in the colonial era.

The park's waterfront location on Little Neck Bay provides access to one of the few natural shorelines remaining in Queens. The bay's tidal waters support shellfish, fish, and shorebird populations, and the park's beach area offers wading and waterfront recreation during warmer months.

Crocheron Park features picnic areas, athletic fields, basketball courts, a playground, and a nature trail that winds through wooded areas along the bay shore. The park's combination of active recreation and natural landscape makes it one of the most versatile parks in northeastern Queens.
