Dock 72 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard is a waterfront office building and public space that serves as a NYC Ferry terminal, providing waterfront access at one of the most historically significant industrial sites in American history.

The Brooklyn Navy Yard operated as a federal shipbuilding facility from 1801 to 1966, building and repairing warships through every American conflict from the War of 1812 to the Vietnam War. At its World War II peak, over 70,000 workers built and launched vessels including the battleship USS Missouri.

The Navy Yard has been reinvented as a 300-acre industrial park housing over 500 businesses and 10,000 workers, with tenants including film studios (Steiner Studios), manufacturers, food producers, and technology companies.

The NYC Ferry connection at Dock 72 provides waterfront transit from the Navy Yard to Manhattan, connecting the industrial park to the commuter network and bringing visitors to the waterfront where warships were once launched.
