Bushwick Collective Open Space is the outdoor gallery and gathering area at the heart of the Bushwick Collective, the world-famous outdoor street art gallery that has transformed several blocks of Bushwick into one of the largest open-air mural museums on Earth.
The Bushwick Collective was founded in 2011 by Joseph Ficalora, who invited street artists from around the world to paint murals on the warehouses and commercial buildings of his neighborhood. The project has attracted artists from over 20 countries.
The murals are repainted regularly, keeping the outdoor gallery fresh and drawing repeat visitors who come to see new works. The collective has become one of Brooklyn's most visited cultural attractions, rivaling the borough's museums and established galleries.
