Bushwick Inlet Park Soccer Fields provide full-size turf soccer facilities on the Williamsburg waterfront, part of the ongoing development of Bushwick Inlet Park, a planned 28-acre waterfront park that has been assembled over decades.
Bushwick Inlet Park has been one of the most contentious park development projects in Brooklyn, with the city acquiring parcels of former industrial waterfront one by one over many years. The soccer fields, opened in stages, represent completed sections of the larger vision.
The soccer fields attract players from across Brooklyn's diverse communities, with pickup games and organized leagues featuring players representing dozens of nationalities. Soccer on the Williamsburg waterfront is one of the most multicultural sporting experiences in the city.
The full buildout of Bushwick Inlet Park, when completed, will create the largest new waterfront park in Brooklyn since Brooklyn Bridge Park. The project demonstrates both the promise and the difficulty of assembling urban waterfront parkland.
Bushwick Inlet Park Soccer Fields provide world-class athletic facilities on the Williamsburg waterfront, where the global language of soccer brings together the neighborhood's extraordinary diversity on fields carved from former industrial land.
