The Green-Wood Cemetery Chapel is an 1911 landmark building within Green-Wood Cemetery, recently restored and reopened as a cultural venue hosting concerts, art installations, and public events in one of the most architecturally significant spaces in Brooklyn.
Designed by the firm of Warren and Wetmore (the architects of Grand Central Terminal), the chapel combines Byzantine, Romanesque, and Gothic elements with stunning stained glass windows and a soaring interior that creates extraordinary acoustics.
The chapel's restoration was completed in 2017 after years of deterioration. The project received widespread acclaim for returning one of Brooklyn's hidden architectural masterpieces to public use.
