Industry City Courtyard spaces are the publicly accessible outdoor areas within Industry City, a 35-acre complex of former industrial buildings on the Sunset Park waterfront that has been transformed into one of Brooklyn's most dynamic commercial and cultural destinations.

The complex, originally built in the 1890s as the Bush Terminal industrial campus, processed goods arriving at the Brooklyn waterfront and employed thousands of workers. The massive buildings, with their concrete columns and huge floor plates, have been adapted for modern creative use.

Industry City now houses food halls, art galleries, event spaces, manufacturing workshops, and over 500 businesses. The courtyards between the buildings provide outdoor gathering spaces, seating areas, and seasonal programming.

The Sunset Park neighborhood surrounding Industry City is one of Brooklyn's most diverse, with large Chinese, Mexican, and Middle Eastern communities. The food hall within Industry City reflects this diversity with vendors representing cuisines from around the world.

Industry City Courtyard spaces demonstrate how massive industrial buildings can be adapted to serve contemporary creative and commercial needs while providing public outdoor space in a neighborhood with limited park access.
