Saratoga Park is a neighborhood park in the Ocean Hill section of Bedford-Stuyvesant, providing recreational space in one of central Brooklyn's most historically significant African American communities.
The Ocean Hill-Brownsville area was the site of the 1968 community control crisis, when a dispute over local school governance pitted the African American community against the predominantly white teachers' union. The conflict reshaped education politics in New York City for decades.
