Transmitter Park

Transmitter Park is a small waterfront park at the northern tip of the Greenpoint waterfront, offering panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and the East River from a peaceful, less-visited setting.

Officially named WNYC Transmitter Park, it is commonly known simply as Transmitter Park, and sits on the former site of the WNYC radio transmission towers that broadcast New York's municipal radio station for decades.

Greenpoint's waterfront has been transformed from industrial use to public parkland over the past two decades, with Transmitter Park representing one of the earliest conversions in what has become a continuous waterfront greenway.

The park's small size and relatively remote location at the top of Greenpoint keep it less crowded than the more famous waterfront parks in DUMBO and Williamsburg, making it a local favorite.

Transmitter Park provides an intimate waterfront experience at the northern edge of Brooklyn, where the East River begins its journey toward Long Island Sound.
