Pier 17 Rooftop is the open-air performance venue and public space atop the rebuilt Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport, providing one of the most spectacular event spaces in New York City with panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the East River, and the Brooklyn skyline.

The original Pier 17 was a festival marketplace built in the 1980s that fell into decline. The replacement, designed by SHoP Architects and completed in 2018, is a striking modern building whose rooftop has become one of the city's premier outdoor concert venues.

The rooftop hosts concerts by major artists throughout the summer season, with the Brooklyn Bridge serving as the backdrop. The combination of live music and the bridge views creates an experience that is unique in the world.

The South Street Seaport Historic District surrounding Pier 17 preserves 19th-century commercial buildings, cobblestone streets, and historic ships that recall Manhattan's maritime heritage as the greatest port in the Americas.

Pier 17 Rooftop provides public access to one of the most dramatic views in Lower Manhattan, where the engineering grandeur of the Brooklyn Bridge, the commercial energy of the Seaport, and the cultural programming of a modern venue converge.
