St. George Park is a neighborhood park in the St. George civic center of Staten Island, the borough's most urban neighborhood and the location of the Staten Island Ferry terminal, Borough Hall, and the courts.
St. George serves as the de facto downtown of Staten Island, with the ferry terminal connecting the borough to Lower Manhattan via the free 25-minute ride that provides some of the most spectacular views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
The neighborhood has experienced a renaissance in recent years, with new residential development, restaurants, and the National Lighthouse Museum adding vitality to the ferry terminal area.
The Staten Island Yankees (now the Staten Island FerryHawks) play at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George, where the waterfront stadium offers views of Manhattan and the harbor from the bleachers.
