1411 Broadway is a Privately Owned Public Space at the intersection of Broadway and West 39th Street, in the Garment District near the southern edge of Times Square.

The Garment District, centered on Seventh Avenue in the 30s, was the heart of American fashion manufacturing for most of the 20th century. While most production has moved overseas, the district retains showrooms, design studios, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Broadway in the upper 30s marks the transition between the Garment District and the Times Square entertainment district, with the neon-lit spectacle of Times Square beginning just a few blocks to the north.

The POPS serves the area's diverse mix of fashion industry workers, office employees, tourists heading to or from Times Square, and commuters using Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal, both located nearby.

This plaza sits at the crossroads of fashion and entertainment, two of the industries that have defined Midtown Manhattan's economic identity for over a century.
