1675 York Avenue

1675 York Avenue is a Privately Owned Public Space in the northern Yorkville section of the Upper East Side, near the 86th Street crosstown corridor.

86th Street is the traditional Main Street of the Upper East Side, with a commercial corridor that serves the neighborhood's dense residential population. The street has historically been the center of Yorkville's German and Hungarian community.

York Avenue in the 80s is a residential corridor of apartment towers and neighborhood services. The area's character is more practical and less glamorous than the Fifth and Madison Avenue frontages of the Upper East Side.
