17 Battery Place is a Privately Owned Public Space near the southern tip of Manhattan, between Battery Park City and the Financial District. The plaza provides outdoor space near the ferry terminals and the waterfront.
Battery Place runs along the northern edge of Battery Park, connecting the Financial District to the Battery Park City residential neighborhood to the west. The street sees heavy pedestrian traffic from commuters using the Staten Island Ferry and Governors Island Ferry terminals.
