1725 York Avenue is a Privately Owned Public Space in the northern reaches of the Upper East Side, in the Yorkville neighborhood near the 90th Street crosstown corridor.

This section of York Avenue, in the upper 80s and 90s, is near the boundary between the Upper East Side and East Harlem (Spanish Harlem). The transition between these two neighborhoods is one of the sharpest socioeconomic boundaries in Manhattan.
