201 East 17th Street is a Privately Owned Public Space in the Gramercy neighborhood near Stuyvesant Square, providing an outdoor plaza in one of Manhattan's most historic and architecturally distinguished residential areas.

Stuyvesant Square, a block-long park split in two by Second Avenue, is named for Peter Stuyvesant, the last Dutch Director-General of New Amsterdam. The park is surrounded by some of the finest 19th-century row houses and institutional buildings in the city.
